Student web service

The student web portal provides students with access to the Faculty Information System (FIS). The main purpose of the portal is to transfer all administrative tasks to an online environment – tasks that the student would ordinarily perform over the counter at the Student Service.

The portal brings together the functionalities needed to perform teaching and administrative duties in undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies, and provides the necessary information to students, including:

  • Student exam review
  • Overview of upcoming exams and exam deadlines
  • Registration and review of registered exams
  • Subscription to a course-related list, and review of these lists (laboratory exercises, colloquia,
  • excursions)
  • Review of completed obligations
  • Enrollment overview
  • Elective course selection
  • Profile selection
  • Review of grades, failed exams and ECTS credits
  • Review of diploma work data
  • Class schedule (for the user, by profiles, halls, professors, students,
  • items)
  • Student surveys of professors
  • Viewing master data and password change
  • Ability to download files
  • Various notices for students – for all students, a group of students or individuals

The portal relies on the Faculty Information System, which acts as a centralized program in recording data on deadlines, exams, grades, etc.

All communication between the student and the server is done via HTTPS (HTTP Secure) protocol, which achieves data encryption and prevents security risks, such as eavesdropping and the interception of sensitive information. The entire system was designed with data security in mind, and in its four years of operation, there have been no security problems.
