Forestry

III CYCLE STUDIES (180 ECTS)

The third cycle of studies at the Faculty of Forestry of the University are currently focusing on three areas within the discipline of forestry:

  • Forest management planning
  • Forest genetics and forest establishment
  • Forest growing

During 2021, with the preparation of a new study, the Faculty of Forestry of the University of Banja Luka will significantly expand and improve its diversity of courses in the field of the third cycle of studies by expanding its research capacity through new facilities and laboratories. It will begin teaching the third cycle of studies in the following areas of forestry and forestry-related topics:

  • Silviecology
  • Integral forest protection
  • Economics and organization in forestry
  • Use of forest resources

In addition to these areas, doctoral studies will be characterized by multidisciplinarity, and our lecturers will be from other faculties that identify Forestry as an important element of science in their own avenues of work.

The Faculty of Forestry strives to include third cycle students in current projects, providing top experts and lecturers to enable collaborative work during research in domestic and foreign laboratories. It also strives to to use the capacities currently be available to students under the cooperation agreement we have with foreign partners.
