Within the framework of international cooperation, the University of Banja Luka pays significant attention to the exchange of students and staff, which is accomplished through the activities of international exchange programs, cooperation agreements, study visits, summer schools, workshops, seminars and internships.
Erasmus+ (KA107) International credit exchange is a program of the European Commission in which universities are given the opportunity to exchange students and staff. Before conducting the exchange, the universities are obliged to sign the Interinstitutional Agreement. The University of Banja Luka has been included in the program since its establishment in 2014, which now has over sixty signed Inter-Institutional Agreements from twenty-six European countries. A student exchange may last from three to twelve months for the purpose of study and from two to twelve months for the purpose of internship. Staff exchanges can last from five days to two months.
Since 2008, our University has become a part of the so-called CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) networks. These activities are performed in cooperation with the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Activities on the implementation of this program will continue in the coming years, through the implementation of the CEEPUS III program.
Students of the University of Banja Luka have been doing internships abroad for more than 15 years through the – IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience). IAESTE exchange platform: https://iaeste.smartsimple.ie/s_Login.jsp
Erasmus Mundus was an exchange program of the European Commission, where the University of Banja Luka has been involved since 2011. Through six projects in which the University was a partner in the Erasmus Mundus program: JoinEU–SEE III, JoinEU–SEE IV, JoinEU–SEE>PENTA, EUROWEB, SUNBEAM and EUROWEB+ over 70 students and staff members completed the exchange.
Students and staff of the University of Banja Luka use other scholarship opportunities for various programs of foreign governments, international organizations and foundations.
